Racha Yai, Bay1 .

Perfect dive site for beginner divers. Its shallow reef parallel to the Island has plenty of marine life and corals for all divers to see. Depth around this area is around 7 metre’s deep, perfect depth for Discover Scuba divers and students alike.

Further deeper at Bay 1 you will find an underwater wreck called Harruby Wreck, it was dropped on 3rd December 2009 , it’s an old dive boat that the DMCR ( Department of Marine Coastal resources ) kindly donated to Phuket’s dive community. This dive site is only accessible to certified divers due to its depth ranging from 16 metres down to 25 metres. The schools of fish that hang around the wreck include Foster’s Barracuda, Fusiliers and masses of Yellow snapper, rays are frequently seen and the macro life sitting in the wreck is abundant.

Water temperature in Bay 1 is usually 27/29 c and visibility can range from 6 metres up to 20+ metres. Currents mild to moderate. Type of dive site reef and wreck and all levels welcome.

Bungalow Bay North and South.

These dive sites are located North in Racha Yai, this beautiful bay offers 2 dive sites opposite each other and both are different in respect to topography. Both are sloping reefs but the South side has an array of Coral Bommies scattered on the sea bed. Plenty of Marine life and coral’s too see on both dive sites.
